Bath Talk – What is it and why?

It’s amazing what comes up for us in our heads when we step into the Bath Tub and really see ourselves.  Most people don’t really ever look at or appreciate their bodies.  97-98% of the female population worldwide does not feel beautiful.  80-90% of females hate their bodies and this creates a huge problem not only for this generation but for generations to follow as well.  Mothers with poor body image issues pass it on to their children.

Body Image is not about how much we weigh, the size jeans we wear, the excess or lack of it we carry around – it’s about how we feel about ourself and the way we look.  How many times have you looked in the mirror and thought or said to yourself, “I look fat in this.” or something of that nature?  It’s a common thing and it’s happening more and more.  The sad part about it is that everytime we say, feel, or think this about ourselves we give ourselves negative messages that close us up and shut us down just a little bit.  Those little bits add up to a lot and pretty soon we are completely closed up and shut down affecting every area of our life; relationships with ourself and others, work, intimacy, how we show up, and so on.

Bath Talks was designed to help get the word out there that we are not alone in our body image issues, body dysmorphia, and that there is help out there to overcome negative body issues.  When we learn to love ourselves from where we are at today, it changes everything.  If you want to participate in something special that is designed to help women open up and become aware that they are not alone.

As the issues surface, I will be writing about them in different blog posts and how they are affecting people in all areas of their life.  I look forward to connecting with you.
